Notices and Announcements

The Nomination filing period is now open and nominations will be accepted from May 1 until August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

Members of the public can view candidates who have filed on the Nominations and Certified Candidate Profile page.

Please note that no candidate will be certified until Certification Day on August 24, 2026.

The nomination period runs from May 1 to August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

Candidates are reminded to pick up a Candidate Nomination Package at City Hall prior to their appointment to ensure they receive all required forms and information.

REMINDERS

To file, candidates must bring one piece of identification proving residency (e.g. divers licence, a bill, etc.) AND one piece of identification proving citizenship (e.g. Passport, Birth Certificate, etc.)

Please ensure that a completed Form 1 (Nomination Paper) and, where required for the positions or Mayor and Ward Councillor, Form 2 (Endorsement of Nomination) are prepared before your appointment.

All required forms must be signed by the candidate during the appointment in the presence of the City Clerk or their designate.
